Elon Musk asks UN to show how $6b can solve world poverty and hunger

Ellon Musk, a billionaire, has asked the United Nations’ World Food Programme (WFP) to calculate how exactly 2% of his wealth will reportedly end world poverty and famine.

Earlier, on October 26, 2021, CNN reported on UN Director’s comment about eradicating poverty with $6 billion, or around 2% of Elon Musk’s total wealth of $311 billion, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

In a recent CNN interview, UN World Food Programme Executive Director David Beasley stated that “2% of Elon Musk’s wealth” will be sufficient to address the global hunger crisis.

Elon Musk created the tweet a few days later, asking WFP to show how it will work.

“If WFP can describe on this Twitter thread exactly how $6B will solve world hunger, I will sell Tesla stock right now and do it.” Elon Musk responded with a yes.

Meanwhile, Dr. David Eli, a lecturer and researcher, claims that the UN World Food Program (WFP) raised $8.4 billion in 2020 but was unable to eradicate world poverty and hunger.
